I was in-charge of invoicing, trade reconciliations & confirmations. All aspects in trade operations; contract management, documentary instructions, vessel nominations. Quality inspections, customs and demurrage. Coordination with external counterparties-trading partners, traders, brokers, inspection companies, warehouses & port agents. Internal reporting/liasing with Risk managment, Finance & shiping dept in London to ensure all aspects of each trade are captured correctly in order that all physical trades are lead through the deal lefecycle internally.
This position I got the opportunity to follow through all aspects of the deal lifecycle. To learn to analyse contracts and find out the pitfalls, to anticipate and ensure all procedures in place and coordinate effectively with external couterparts and also internally with Traders, Risk and Finance department. Having worked with difficult countries, I acquired a solid knowledge of trade regulations, financing methods, finding solutions to work around complexed business structures.
Trade Finance Officer

I managed credit limits and obtained new credit lines. Maintained bank relationships and developed new relationships. I was responsible for LC openings and executions and presentation to banks.
Assisted the TF manager to set different trade structures, followed up payments, Invoices and ensured all trades, settlements are captured in Triple-Point. Handled account opening/KYC procedures.
General administrative tasks for the Trade Finance manager.
Managed Credit insurance limits. Assisted the traders and brokers. Participated in the annual Trade Commodity & Petroluem week in Geneva & London. Also handled account opening procudures and general administrative tasks.
This position enabled me to widen my knowledge in Trade Finance and improve my LC & Credit line term negotiation skills and to expand bank contacts, built some solid relationships with banks and obtain credit lines.

I was responsible for managing sales contracts, executions & negotiation of LC's, bank assignments, payments and bank guarantees. Arranging inspections and shipments by vessel and truck from EX-works to final destination including customs formalities and insurance. Liasing the sales and logistics with branch offices in the Middle East. Managing relationships with banks, customers, producers, agents and shipping lines. Handled general adminitrative tasks for the CEO.
This position gave me the invaluable opportunity of widening my knowledge of operations, order processing, inspections, financing methods and improve my skills of L/C negotiation. I built strong relationships with banks, customers, producers, inspections companies and shipping agents. Acquired a solid experience in handling complexed markets, having the right approach, adapting to different cultures, mentality and business models and learning to think outside the box!

I was responsible for preparing voyage instructions, Charter-Party's, shipping documents and negotiating with banks. I managed agency matters, crew requirements. Daily updates of technical information and vessel positions. Accompanied the techincal manager on a few occations on board the vessels.
Handled general admistrative duties such as; hotel, travel and visa procedures for the managment and vessel crews.
This position enabled me to learn and understand Charter-Party's, type of vessels and operations. I learnt to develop good relations with port agents, and effectively handle all requirements of the crew, ports etc.
